If you’re considering working in the hospitality industry behind the bar then you will want to attend a bar course. Sydney based ATS is well placed to help you on the way to getting behind the bar and serving cold beers.
Complete one day Bar Course @ $135. Book & pay online or in person & receive a discount of $10 from 14 November 2008 & 28 February 2009.
Bar Course Summary: This is a practical skills based course. Participants will be introduced to:
- Beer pouring, tray carrying, bar layout & equipment, product knowledge
- Bar cleaning, customer service & types of bars
- Pouring spirits, mixed drinks & postmix
- Bar opening & closing procedures
- Cellar principles & walk through
- Legislation relating to licensed premises e.g., RSA, RCG & OH&S
- Workplace expectations & qualifications
- Customer service skills & interview skills.
Frequency & duration: Fortnightly Saturday from 9.00am to 3.30pm
Are you wanting to attain the National Competencies:
- THHBFB00B- Clean & Tidy Bar &
- THHBFB01B- Operate a Bar
as part of Certificate II in Hospitality Operations THH21802?
You will need to complete the One Day Bar Course as well as the following units:
- THHBHS01B Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures
- THHGFA01B Process Financial Transactions
- THHBFB09B Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
ATS provides all the above units in the training room at Level 6, 143 York Street. Check our Course Schedule to book. The manual for THHGFA01B Process Financial Transactions can be provided to the student to complete "on the job" either in a current or future role & will be assessed by ATS at no extra cost to the student. The student must indicate they are completing all the relevant courses & wish to attain the national competency as part of Certificate II Hospitality Operations.
